Shantelle Wright has deep experience in education. Currently, she is the Chief Program Officer for EdNavigator, a national nonprofit that empowers families by providing access to high-quality educational support. Ms. Wright also founded and served as CEO of Achievement Prep, a public charter school network in Ward 8. Now in its 15th year, Achievement Prep prepares students to excel as high-achieving scholars and leaders in high school, college, and beyond. A licensed attorney, Ms. Wright practiced commercial real estate and corporate law for several years. She was recently appointed by DC Mayor Bowser to serve on the DC Public Charter School Board. A proud SE DC, Ward 8 resident, Ms. Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hampton University and a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University School of Law.
