Danielle Gonzales

Education and Nonprofit Leader.

Danielle Gonzales is a nonprofit and educational leader, currently serving as a senior fellow for the One Generation initiative of the Tides Center. Most recently Danielle served as Executive Director of New Mexico First, an organization that builds consensus on issues facing the state for policy change. She has over 20 years of experience working in education policy and reform on a national level. Her previous roles include Managing Director at The Aspen Institute, Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and several positions at Pew Charitable Trusts. Danielle was elected by her community to serve on the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education, working to improve student outcomes for 70,000 students. Along with other boards and advisory commissions, Danielle is a member of Education Leaders of Color, Latinos for Education, and School Board Partners. Danielle earned her Masters in Education from the University of Notre Dame, and Bachelors degree in political science and Spanish Language and Literature from The George Washington University , where she was named a Truman Scholar.
