The decisions made by local school board members across our county affect almost every aspect of student life. Weekly, school boards enact or reject policies on issues ranging from bus schedules to teacher pay to language arts curriculum. Over time, these policies either support or hinder student success and inevitability shape the life trajectory of the youth and families within a community. It is especially important now to have strong school board members with inclusive, culturally relevant curriculum under attack in many schools across the country.
