Jabari Peddie

Jabari Peddie was raised in the city of New York and matured in the city of Atlanta, where he attended Morehouse College. While there he earned his B.A. in English and Language Arts, which set the foundation for his career in education. Jabari began teaching middle grades ELA as a Teach For America corps member. After having spent a few years in the classroom, serving both as grade level and department chair, he set out to pursue administrative roles.

This pursuit brought Jabari to Boston, where he had transitioned into the role of a Director of School Culture. Shortly after holding this position, Jabari had the privilege of being the Founding Principal of the largest turnaround school in Boston Public Schools. After serving this community for a few years, he went on to be the Principal of two other schools in the city of Boston. In his last two years as a Principal, Jabari co-founded The Teachers’ Lounge Incorporated, a regional nonprofit that facilitates social and professional engagement events for educators of color, as a means to recruit and retain them in the field of education.

Jabari currently works as a Senior Director of Leadership Development and leads an executive coaching and training program at a nationally recognized organization. Jabari is a talented and proven coach and leader of people. He is adept at organizational strategy and adaptive and technical leadership. Jabari deeply believes that it takes courage to lead and to inspire people to desire the best outcomes for themselves and those for whom they are responsible.
